How to Prepare for Nonsurgical Butt Augmentation with EMSCULPT NEO®

If you have ever considered butt enhancement surgery but are hesitant about incurring the cost, risks, and recovery period associated with butt augmentation, we can help. At Adean Kingston, M.D., PLLC, board-certified dermatologist and aesthetic specialist Dr. Adean Kingston performs Dallas, TX nonsurgical butt augmentation using a combination of EMSCULPT NEO® to lift, tighten, and tone the buttocks plus Sculptra® butt fillers for added volume and an enhanced shape.

Unlike surgery and other buttocks enhancement techniques, nonsurgical butt enhancement with EMSCULPT NEO plus Sculptra requires little preparation. Still, there are some things you'll need to do — and avoid — prior to EMSCULPT NEO for the butt, including drinking plenty of water before the procedure and wearing loose-fitting, comfortable clothing the day of your appointment. Here, you'll find additional instructions for preparing for EMSCULPT NEO butt enhancement.

Does EMSCULPT make your butt bigger?

EMSCULPT NEO is not specifically designed to add volume to the buttocks. Instead, EMSCULPT NEO utilizes HIFEM+ electromagnetic muscle stimulation to tone, tighten, and lift the buttocks for a perkier shape and position. For patients who are also interested in adding volume to the butt and/or would like to get a rounder butt, Dr. Kingston may recommend pairing Sculptra filler injections plus EMSCULPT NEO for a nonsurgical butt augmentation.

Do I need to do anything before EMSCULPT NEO butt augmentation?

Because nonsurgical butt augmentation treatments performed by Dr. Kingston combine EMSCULPT NEO nonsurgical body contouring with Sculptra fillers, it is important to take both products into account when preparing for your appointment. Generally speaking, patients should use the following preparation instructions for EMSCULPT NEO plus Sculptra butt augmentation:

  • Drink plenty of water
  • Arrive well-rested
  • Avoid a heavy or strenuous workout 24 hours prior to treatment
  • Remove (or do not apply) any lotions, creams, perfumes, or other products to the treatment area
  • If recommended, shave the treatment area
  • Avoid alcohol and smoking for at least 24 hours prior to treatment
  • Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing to your appointment

Additionally, some patients may need to adjust certain medications and/or consult with Dr. Kingston about their potential risks for treatment, like whether they may have an allergy to one of the ingredients in Sculptra or be ineligible for EMSCULPT NEO based on an underlying condition. Because everyone's situation is unique, Dr. Kingston will conduct a thorough consultation and review of your health history prior to treatment. Remember, it is critical that you not adjust, pause, or change your medications without first discussing it with your doctor or healthcare provider.

How long is recovery after EMSCULPT NEO?

Like the preparation for nonsurgical butt augmentation, recovery after the procedure is also fairly minimal. Dr. Kingston will provide full guidelines for recovery after butt fillers and EMSCULPT NEO, but for most patients, it will entail getting plenty of rest, sleeping on your stomach, avoiding alcohol and smoking, and pausing strenuous physical activity temporarily. On average, most patients can resume the majority of their normal activities as soon as 24 – 48 hours after treatment and begin enjoying the visible results of their EMSCULPT NEO plus Sculptra butt lift and augmentation within weeks.
